Hash (hashish) is the oldest cannabis concentrate: the resin glands of the plant are collected and pressed into blocks or balls. It has been traded across this region for centuries, which is exactly why it carries an unearned “traditional and harmless” halo.
Moon rocks are a modern, maximalist invention: a bud of cannabis flower dipped in hash oil, then rolled in kief (the loose resin powder). Three forms of THC stacked into one nugget. They exist for one reason — to be the strongest thing on the menu.

- Adulterated hash. When hash has been seized and tested in markets across Europe and the region, analysts have found it bulked with everything from henna and sand to plastic and animal matter — and, more recently, sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids to boost weak resin.
- Spray-on moon rocks. Because moon rocks are coated and dark by nature, they are the perfect disguise for low-grade flower sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids and thick cutting agents. You cannot see, smell or taste the difference.
- Synthetic cannabinoids specifically. These lab-made chemicals — the same family behind “Spice” and “K2” — bind far more aggressively to brain receptors than THC and are linked to seizures, kidney damage and deaths. They cost a fraction of real resin, which is exactly why smugglers use them.
- Unknown potency. Even when the product is genuinely cannabis-derived, potency is a lottery. One batch is weak; the next is 3× stronger at the same price from the same contact.
